Wellbeing Walk with The Ramblers
Wellbeing Walk with The Ramblers – Thursday, 3 July 2025, York
On Thursday afternoon, 3 July 2025, a group of volunteers and locals joined The Ramblers for a one-hour wellbeing walk through York’s natural surroundings. The route passed streams, small lakes, and quiet forest paths, where the sounds of birds and rustling leaves replaced city noise.
People walked at a relaxed pace, talking, laughing, and pausing to appreciate the scenery. It was a simple, refreshing way to connect — with nature and each other.
Science supports what walkers often feel: walking in green spaces reduces stress, improves mood, and boosts mental wellbeing. The camaraderie added to the experience, with friendly conversations and shared moments of calm.
